Flexible SafeOperator Gear Drive System (Reach Rod)

This flexible shafting mechanical rotary actuator is directly connected at both ends, and is designed to receive input torque (via manually turning a handwheel or tee wrench) at the operator station. This torque is then delivered to a remote valve station actuator. The torque moves through a single flexible inner core rotating in a conduit between the two stations.

Flexible Gear Drive System

Mini SafeOperator Gear Drive System (Reach Rod)

This system uses a relatively small-diameter flexible shaft for system installation and routing. Our high-quality remote operators are easily mounted to any rigid structure, and can be fitted with a range of handwheel sizes to suit the required input torque. The flexible shaft assembly is extremely hardwearing and can be installed in most environments. It has easy connections to remote operator and the valve gearbox.

Mini Flexible Gear Drive System

Flexible 1:1 Direct Drive System (Reach Rod)

Flexible rotary shafting designed to receive input torque (via a manually turned handwheel or tee wrench) at the operator station. This torque moves through a single flexible inner core, and is then delivered to a remote valve/valve gearbox. The core rotates in a conduit between the two stations, and is directly connected at both ends.

Flexible 1 to 1 Direct Drive System

Rigid Rod System (Reach Rod)

Rigid rod systems are ideal when remote valve operating system paths are straight or nearly straight. Our high-quality rigid rod easily accommodates sharp bends with the use of gear boxes or swivel gear joints. In addition to the rigid components, we manufacture numerous adaptors and other fittings, allowing the use of combination flexible shaft and rigid rod systems for particularly difficult design problems.
